Business environment and agricultural support schemes have changed after Lithuania joined the EU. The data comparison of Agricultural Censuses of 2003 and 2010 shows that during the analysis period the number of farmers’ farms that are larger than 1 ha decreased by one fourth. However, to date there has been scarce research on the analysis of economic viability changes in this category of farms and on the determination of the most vulnerable agricultural areas. Agricultural producers, like any other business, experience a negative impact of risk on production results. A lot of different factors determine the magnitude of negative impact of risk. In Lithuania, as in many countries around the world, observed the phenomenon of demographic aging. Concerns about demographic aging pose a debate not only in scientific but also in political discourse. The international community has begun to draw more attention to the demographic aging challenges and search for measures to mitigate them. The share of 65 years and older population in rural areas is bigger than in cities. To ensure the older population dignified, healthy, active aging is important to ensure their access to main public services, which supply in rural areas is more complicated, compare with the cities. Scientists, politicians raises the question - is it good to grow old in rural areas? For public sector organizations that seek to optimize the delivery of public services is important to know the level of customer satisfaction, to assess it in order to make appropriate decisions on further action. The agricultural sector is the primary economic sector. Therefore, the production factors released form the agricultural production process can be employed in the remaining economic sectors, thus generating additional gross value added. In addition, substantial public support is allocated for the agricultural sector. As in the European Union, these processes are regulated by the Common Agricultural Policy. Consequently, researches in the agricultural efficiency are of great importance from the economic standpoint. Indeed, the conventional methods of the efficiency analysis suffer from certain caveats.
