Researchers from the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences, Institute of Economics and Rural Development recently took part in the GRANULAR consortium workshop at the University of Pisa (Italy) on June 27th and 28th, 2024. This workshop focused on discussing the activities of Living Labs and planning the potential activities of Replication Labs within the project.
The main aim of the GRANULAR project is to generate novel datasets, tools, and methods to better understand the characteristics and dynamics of rural areas. It also seeks to help rural actors grasp the specificities and diversity of their territories, identify main challenges, and design tailored place-based policies to address those challenges.
Following the exemplary models of the 7 Living Labs in France, the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, Lithuania, alongside Albania, Finland, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Moldova, Romania, and Serbia, will establish Replication Labs to implement the innovative methods in their respective territories.
Stay tuned for more updates on how these efforts will help shape the future of Lithuanian rural areas!
