On November 20, 2024, under the invitation of the Faculty of Public Health of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) principal investigator of the Institute of Economic and Rural Development of the LithuanianCentre for Social Sciences gave a public lecture titled „Open innovation in Living Labs: methodological alternatives for creating systemic change and implementation experiences“. The event shared scientific insights on the increasing relevance of stakeholder-driven and collaborative research and experimental development in the European Union's research and innovation agendas. Discussions focused on how to foster systemic change to increase social impact through open innovation developed and implemented in Living Labs. The event also presented methodological alternatives for the design and implementation of Living Labs, structured around the experience gained by researchers from the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences in the implementation of the European Union's INTERRREG and Horizon Programme projects. Over 40 participants from various departments of LSMU attended the event. This is the first collaborative initiative between LSMC and LSMU, laying the foundations for further interaction between the institutions in research and experimental development in the field of health economics.
